The Art of Forgiveness – An Introduction

Forgiveness is an oft talked about subject when it comes to personal wholeness. And it should be.  However, while the need to practice forgiveness is taught and encouraged in religious circles, recovery meetings and therapist offices, it is often a difficult concept to digest.  Some people mistakenly think that forgiveness means allowing another person to “get away with something” while others believe an apology is in order for any kind of forgiveness to happen. Still, others believe that forgiving themselves will set them up to make the same grievous errors over and over again.  To all of these I say, “Rubbish!”
